If you have been diagnosed with a mental illness, you may be scared, frustrated, hopeless, or disoriented.
My name is Woodrow Lucas and I am the CEO of Empowered Recovery Consulting. When I was diagnosed with mental illness I was all of the above with tinges of suicidal ideation. But I had a relationship with a man who would not let me go, who would not let me quit, and who would not let me die. His name is Jesus Christ.
Many times no matter how deep your relationship with Jesus, the onset of mental illness is so jarring that it undermines the trust that is the glue of your relationship with Christ.
What we do at Empowered Recovery Consulting is we help you to reestablish your relationship with Jesus Christ so that you can make him the center of your recovery.
While I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and that by his stripes we are all healed, many people for understandable reasons do not wish to have anything to do with Jesus or Christianity. For these folks we suggest choosing your own higher power or using the higher power of your religion of origin as long as said higher power is all loving and all powerful.

Woodrow’s Book “Birds of Flight“
We highly recommend that you read Woodrow’s fictional novel, Birds of Flight, in considering whether you want to work with Empowered Recovery Consulting as it reflects the praxis of putting God first in our recovery.
Birds of Flight is a book about seven people with severe and persistent mental illness who have reached a point of desperation. They seek out an unorthodox therapist and begin to engage in group therapy sessions with their therapist and with each other. In the midst of these sessions, a revival of love breaks out among these individuals, which results in life changing healing and a new hope for them all.

Yes, I empower people with the full range of mental difficulty from OCD, to anxiety, to Schizophrenia.
What is your methodology? How does this work? How do sessions take place?
Our method is simple.
- Connect our client with their higher power.
- Work with our client to diagnose their needs as it concerns mastering their life and reclaiming their mind.
- Empower our client to be the leader of their recovery.
- Use our tools and methodologies to assist our client in creating and following a recovery plan that leads them all the way to freedom.
Do you serve all geographical locations? And are all sessions virtual?
I serve anyone who wants to be served all over the world, and of those I serve long distance virtually,and short distance in person or virtually if they would like.
What if I don’t believe in God, if I’m not religious or spiritually inclined? Can you still help me?
Do I need a lot of money to get your help?
- One session a week is free if you can prove a diagnosis (watch video to learn more)
- No to low income (<30000) $25.00 an hour
- Mid income (30,000 – 60000) $50.00 an hour.
- High income (>60000) $100.00 an hour.

Are you mentoring, advising? You’re not a shrink or a minister – how can you help? What is it you do?
I am not a therapist but I am extremely familiar with several therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as energy healing. So I do not view myself as an expert, rather I view myself as a facilitator with enough knowledge to empower without replacing the necessary practitioners like psychiatrists and therapists.
I am not a minister but I do have a Master’s in theological studies and over 15 years of ministry experience. So again, I am not trying to take the place of your local pastor, but I do know quite a bit about most religious paradigms, enough to help you access your higher power for healing.
